Current position: Head of the “Karakalpak Folklore” Department at the Karakalpak Research Institute of Humanities.

Education: higher, Karakalpak State University Berdakh Karakalpak State University (1991)

Academic degree and title: Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor

Field of scientific interest: The relationship between medieval Turkic written monuments and Karakalpak epics, the influence of written monuments on the formation of Karakalpak epic plots, issues of the genesis, typology, and poetics of heroic epics, the performance skills of storytellers and bakhshis, and the study of Karakalpak folk traditional folklore. The main directions of the research work are issues of Karakalpak folklore, Karakalpak heroic epics, and the performing arts of Karakalpak storytellers.

Additional information: Member of the editorial board of the journal «Literary Heritage» of the A. Navoi State Museum of Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, «Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan», «Science and Society» of the Ajiniyaz NDPI.
